The purpose of GTD is to inspire the Loomis Community to Go the Distance for our kids. Our goal is to raise awareness about the positive impact health and fitness has on our kids, while raising funds to help support future Loomis Union School District (LUSD) programs. As stated in our mission, we seek to improve the educational experience of students in the Loomis Union School District by supplementing academic and enrichment programs.
As many of you know, Mr. Lockwood is retiring at the end of this school year. To commemorate his 30 years of service to LUSD, we have placed a giant boulder in front of the gym to be called "Lockwood Rock".
For just $10 a day, families can sign up to paint "Lockwood Rock" to celebrate birthdays or other milestones in their children's lives.
For more information on how to sign up to paint "Lockwood Rock" please click the photo.
All proceeds from "Lockwood Rock" will go to the HCP PTC to help fund art programs, techonology, and science programs, and other enrichment opportunities for the students.
We look forward to seeing what you do with Lockwood Rock!

A big "Thank You" to our 3rd and 1st grade parents who helped to spruce up the garden this year. We really appreciate all of your time volunteering to help make a difference for all of our students here at H.C.P.
The Lending Library is outside the doors of the front office from 7:00-3:30 every school day. This is a community service project put together by our very own Alyssa Riga in 3rd grade here at HCP. People are welcome to come and take a book and or leave a book. This is a great way to find some new reading material and leave any books that you are tired of.
At our last IB Family Night, Parents Asked and they have now arrived.
These placements will help bridge the home-school connection with the IB Language!
A big "Thank You" to the Loomis Basin Education Foundation and the Go the Distance committee. On Tuesday, May 17th, Mr. Lockwood received the proceeds on behalf of H. Clarke Powers School from this fabulous event. Thank you also to all of our students and families who participated to help make this years Go the Distance event such a fabulous one.
