Due to the anticipated hot weather and our concern for the health and safety of our students and all guests, the LUSD 8th Grade Promotion Event on Wednesday, June 1st at the Del Oro High School Stadium will have a delayed start time of 7:00pm. The program for the evening will be shortened to include the 8th grade speakers and the presentation of the 8th grade class. We will provide water to the students on the field during the event and encourage families to bring additional water in preparation for the heat. Students should be dropped off at the Del Oro Stadium at 6:30pm to assemble for the event.
The ceremony will be livestreamed in the Bonner Gym for guests that wish to be inside.
The 8th Grade Promotion Dance will follow the ceremony and will end at 10:30pm.
