Hello!  My name is Gina Green and I teach 2nd grade at HCP.  I'm entering my 28th year of teaching and have taught K, 1st, 2nd and 4th grades.  I began my career in the Bay Area at Vinci Park Elementary in San Jose. I felt honored to be able to teach alongside some of my original elementary school teachers. In 2000, I got married and moved to Roseville with my husband.  I was very excited to start teaching at Penryn Elementary, where I became part of an amazing staff and community for 14 years.  I then joined my new HCP family 8 years ago and absolutely love it here!  LUSD is amazing and I feel fortunate to be part of such a supportive staff and community.

 

My husband Darren and I have 2 boys, Nolan (16) and Dylan (14) and we love spending family time together.  I also enjoy going to concerts, especially 80's bands and Maroon 5, playing Bingo and Bunco with my girlfriends, all things Disney, antique shopping, and Autism Awareness.

 

This year, my students and I will work together to build a classroom community in which everyone feels safe to take risks, works together, learns and grows, all while having fun.  I look forward to working closely with my 2nd graders and their families to make this an amazing school year!
