7th and 8th Grade Math
My name is Tim Ahrens and I have been teaching for twenty-five years, six years in 5th grade and 19 years teaching middle school math. This is my 18th year at H. Clarke Powers and grateful to be part of the teaching staff here.
Originally from Michigan, I graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After moving to California, I earned a teaching credential from Sonoma State University and a master’s degree, focusing on Curriculum & Instruction in math, through the University of Texas at Arlington.
I am proud to be the member of the H. Clarke Powers community as both a teacher and a parent. My son, Ben (HCP Class of 2023!), is currently a 9th grade student at Woodcreek High School. My twin daughters, Zoie and Arya, are in 7th grade, both in my home room class! We consider H. Clarke Powers families to be members of our extended family.
