Julie Van Damme

My name is Julie Van Damme, I’ve been teaching since 2010, and have taught 1st grade since 2014 . I absolutely love this grade and am looking forward to the challenges this year will bring. I come to HCP with 2 masters degrees, one in “Educational Technologies” and the other “Best Teaching Practices”. I am originally from Folsom where I grew up, and went to California State University, Chico. At CSU, Chico,  I obtained my bachelor’s degree and was able to teach abroad in Okinawa, Japan through an internship during my last 2 summers of college. I then continued my education and moved to the San Jose area, where I met my husband, Matt. We got married in July 2019, and welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Sadie, in June 2021. I look forward to getting to know you and your child this school year.
