Lisa Planas

Hi!  My name is Lisa Planas, and I am thrilled to be the Intervention Teacher at H. Clarke Powers!  I grew up in the area and returned after college (Cal Poly, SLO...Go Mustangs!) to begin my teaching career in 2003. I have had the joy of teaching a variety of grade levels in elementary, middle and high schools; I have taught TK, 12th grade and almost every grade level in between!  After taking a few years off to be home with my young daughters, I decided I wanted to specialize in intervention and completed a Reading and Literacy Specialist Program. I am excited to provide extra support in both reading and math to the K-5 students at HCP!   

 

My two daughters are students at HCP, and my husband, Kenny, is a Papa Bear!  I love spending time with my family, and I also love to do anything outside, camp, run, wakesurf, swim, shop and read. I am truly passionate about teaching and look forward to the school year!
