Counseling

My name is Megan Heynen (Ms. Heynen) and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to support the students and parents at H. Clarke Powers Elementary School! I graduated from UC Santa Cruz (Go Banana Slugs!) in 2015 with a degree in History and Literature and then from Sacramento State's Counselor Education Program in May 2022. I have worked in a student support capacity for 6 years, working with students at all levels ranging from Kindergarten to students pursuing their PhDs. I look forward to providing individual, group, and all-class social emotional support for students this year. I will be on site on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
